Email Still Unbeatable for Online Marketing

One the most effective online marketing tools and an easy cost efficient way of staying in touch with your contacts is by sending newsletters.

A recent survey reveals:

  • Over 77% of the test audience preferred emails as messages from brands.
  • The next most proffered medium was direct mail (Snail Mail).
  • Facebook only got 4%

Handy email marketing hints:

  • Make your template recognisable. Use strong branding.
  • Send HTML e-news with a text option.
  • Send dedicate messages and don’t mix up sales messages with use full content.
  • Only focus on 1 or to Points. Keep your items short.
  • Put your sales pitch above the fold.
  • Create a call to action.
  • Journey of discovery: Give the customer the opportunity to discover and to dig deeper.
  • Depending on the product or service offered on average only 3 - 7% or your recipients are ready to buy.
  • On average you will need to send 4 -5 campaigns before you see results.
  • Don’t Spam only send to opted in subscriber list only.
  • Don’t send attachments
